Hello to all you in SMF land. I am now part of you. Well besides a little initiation I am sure.

I am a teacher from near Pittsburgh. Just started for real this summer. I am trying to break everything I have down to the very basics. Even the little electric motors and things.

Setting time aside, since I am not relying on this for my main income the time and my labor doesn't matter to me. If you don't take time and labor into it, I am assuming that is is ALWAYS more profitable to break everything down. Am I correct in that thought? Like I said not counting in labor or time. I'm not talking about stuff like a motherboard though, since most of the stuff individually wouldn't be worth the thing as a whole.

My other question is is it better to start a new thread or to add onto an old one?

    Thanks

I will have many more questions I am sure.

Like they mentioned and being that your a teacher then you know the drill. Take some time each evening and do some reading, your answers to your questions are already here. And no, not everything is worth breaking down, some stuff won't pay enough extra to pay for all the time invested when you could be breaking down 5 of something else.

    Welcome from Iowa.

Just a suggestion. When searching the forum, use the advanced search option. I usually find better results with that.
There may a million better places to live than Iowa, but none of them are home!
