Hello everyone. My name is Sirkarl101 not really but that is what I have chosen to use. You are very smart individuals and probably can figure out my real first name. I searched the net and could not finf alot of info on a metal I bought at auction. It is a 25lb peice of alloy that clearlt specifies containing stelitte6. I dug through the pages of info but got know real dollar value on this metal. Have any of you dealt with it before?
I know it is tough stuff and has a tolerance of 1100 degrees farenheit with an unusually high resistance to corrosion. This perticular peice is to a swing check valve and is the disk. In prestine condition. I contacted the manufacturer and of course I received no response. HELP! What is this stuff and what kind of money are we talking? Some old posts suggest a great deal of value. No scrap yard I checked had any knowledge of it. Just the nobles and the standard metals. I am new to this area. so please any info you can give me would be helpful. I hope this inquiry is not considered advertising it is an honest question.
Thanks.
