    58scrap, I am a new member to the forum. I have been recycling metal for thirty five years as a hobby and am thinking about making it a part time business. I have noticed that it is hard to find info online about where to find the best prices for selling scrap metals. I do realize that some prices change daily &/or more often. LAMPASAS TEXAS

    Welcome to our forum, plenty of info here on scrapping and even tho you have been doing it for quite a while, I'll bet we have plenty of info here you haven't even thought of yet. Just take some time and do some reading and you'll prosper.

    welcome to the forum from the northwest suburbs of Chicago. I know about finding good prices. Its a bear, I was getting hosed big time feom a smaller yard. Now I go to a yard that has 7 locations and getting pretty good price on shred, like 10.5 per pound. could probably get more, but this is a really close yard to me.

    I love all the info I have learned from here but just never sure who is "a yard" or collector. I just make a call every now and then to see if they will give me a shred price.
