Hey there,
I'm very new to the scrap world. I recently left a desk job and have found myself freelancing for the time being. I'm working odd jobs at the moment and would like to scrap a bit to supplement my income. It appears to be a fierce scrapping market in Columbus, Ohio!
I've collected several TVs and learned what to save and what to discard. Right now I'm working for a buddy doing house rehabs, and have gotten an old, heavy furnace, lots of thick wire, random pieces of tin, lead, etc. He intends to buy around 10 houses and I'll likely be getting my hands on whatever stuff he wants to get rid of.
I'm really glad this forum is around, as it's a great resource. I'm going to read up on the best way to scrap a furnace right now!
Thanks.
Charley
