there are many SSI (survival, suplimental income) scrappers here.
In 2 years this forum has taken me from 0 dollars and 0 prospects to shipping 30 t0 40,000 lbs of E- scrap this year.

Computers, vcrs, radios, flat tvs, printers, copiers, game consoles, etc.

There are plenty of buyers on here that buy the boards out of those items, then you can sell the carcass as shred, that will help you make more money.
Some buyers you have to pay your shipping to them and others they pay shipping then deduct it from your payment.

Was scrapping a few weeks ago, didn't have much, when, in an alley, found an @ss load of chain-link fence rolled up in bundles with all the poles. Saw where a home had new wood fence. Just about the time I was trying to bench press the last 200# roll on the top of my SUV the fence installers came driving down the alley. Guy jumped out and said that it was his sh!t. Assured him I thought it was being discarded, and offered to off load everything that I had loaded. Explained that I had been recently laid off and was scrapping to pay bills. With a smile he said to keep it all and even helped me load the last roll of fence. Made $79.00. What a great day.

Welcome to the forum-msscrapper. I lived in the St. Pete. area for over fifty years before moving up to Pasco county. What scrap yard do you go to too get those prices? I go to TMR and Big 3 Truck Salvage and I don't think eather of them buy eletronics and those prices look a little better than I saw the other day.

Just a quick note, the scales at the scrap yard only measure in pounds. So, for example you have 8 pounds and 14 oz. of copper1, you only get paid for the 8# and not the extra. I have a scale and make everything as close to a pound as I can and put the excess aside for the next load.
