Mainframe Scrapper, new to site, LOTS of questions!!!!

Hello all, New on the site so I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm from minnesota, and I've been scrapping out mainframes and high level servers for the past 6 months. I think I've missed out on quite a bit of money by not seeing the $$$ right in front of my eyes, and think that I may be getting under paid from my local scrap yard. So be ready for a lot of questions, there are a lot to these things!!!!

    Thanks in advance!!!

That's definitely about right. I haven't really asked any questions on here yet but that's only because I've just been reading through old threads for weeks now. I feel like I've put in a semester worth of studying so far already, and honestly my brain kind of hurts lol.

Welcome to the site, hopefully some of your questions will answer some of mine that I haven't found yet searching.

Welcome...I will also be happy to help with any questions like jghilino....many servers can be worth far more in PARTS than whole....1st tip for you....obviously test and erase hard drives with professional software (doesn't cost much), check power supplies with a cheap power supply tester and don't forget, even the brackets and plastic ftons can be worth money on Ebay....2nd tip....READ READ READ....spend a couple days on here and get up to speed, then ask what you need after that.
