    New from texas.

Hello all, im from texas, im 20 years old, and starting scrapping for extra cash and as a hobby i enjoy. My work horses for scrapping are my 2008 f250 4x4 diesel, and my 1991 f150. Not sure how to post pictures in a post, but if my profile pic uploaded right, its the 2 trucks in the pic. I do have one question, i've read many threads but couldn't find an answer. Was wondering what dip can lids were made of i'd guess aluminum or tin but idk. and if they'd be saving up. Thanks

Never dipped but if I had to guess, I would say tin, all metal is worth saving if you have the room to stockpile it.
    And welcome from northern Ind.

Welcome aboard, enjoy the free education here. Get one of the most important tools that will help you determine what type of metal you have...... a magnet ! If it sticks it is tin if doesnt then it can go in your copper, brass, aluminum or a " OMG its a precious metal bucket".

" OMG its.......bucket" brought to you by Sirscrapalot Industries, patent pending.

Sure is alot of great info here. Another question is what is the metal in big truck hub caps. As in 18 wheelers and such. I do diesel mechanic work with my dad and have access to basically a crapload of them
