New to the forum just found it today. Been scrapping for about a year and a half. I kinda have it made because most of my scrapping is done right where I work. I have full permission to take any scrap out of the metal dumpster at work. I usually find brass,aluminum,wire and plenty of air conditioners and mowers from other employees that toss them out. But my bread and butter is the scrap steel. I can usually get around 2600 pounds a week of steel along with 40 to 100 lbs. of clean brass every two weeks. Last year I did just over $10,000.00 just out of this dumpster never mind other scrap I find. I did learn one thing grab everything because it all adds up eventually. And it adds up to $$.
