Good evening from Norwalk Ohio...new to the forum, and new to scrapping (kind of) 10 years ago I just did aluminum cans. But scrapping seems to have come a long way. I need any tips & pointers you have!

Welcome to the forum from southern Minnesota. There are 10's of thousands of pointers and tips in the forum threads. Grab a beverage of choice and a computer and read away in any subject or thread that gets your interest. You can see some things on the phone app but the big screen is the only way to get the full benefit. There's also a good search box in the RH corner that can help steer you into a subject of your choice. I'm sure others will chime in maybe even add some links.

As u can see mech has beat everyone to it (he is good about that). But seriously, anything u need to know is in the archives. Lots of great info. And if u have a question u can't find an answer to, just ask. Someone will point u in the right direction (and that is usually mister quick finger mech. I think he has all these links already saved on his computer. Anytime someone has a question he is usually the first to answer. But I thank him cause he is always spot on. Some good info he finds and posts).

Check as many old threads as possible, just about all your concerns can be answered there. After that, then you can post questions.

$1,000 this year. Yeah most def. Just depends how hard you like to work. First decide where your going to get your scrap, 2nd learn the best way to break it down to maximize your profits. Good luck!
