    Hello from maryland

Been scrapping on and off my whole life. From metals to wood and now i'm learning new tricks for Escrap. Guess you can teach a old dog new tricks.
I'm a artist with a grinder and 6" cutting wheel reducing piles of scrap. Hoping the weather breaks a bit for some scrap iron PT this coming week.

Welcome to the forums from a sandbar off the coast of NC!

Where about in Maryland are you from if you don't mind sharing? We have several folks from there, near there, an still there. I myself have spent a good time in Columbia, an areas around it.

Enjoy your stay, hope you have a comfy chair, as there is much reading here for you in the archives, an some of the most knowledgeable, an helpful folks you'll find.

I'm from Southern Maryland a true SMIB on both sides of the family tree.
I spent the afternoon with my dad (he's 70 and still active scrapping) as he discovered you tube scrapping video's. Watching a few of them he laughed out loud saying that person is just going to hurt themselves doing that. I've been doing the e scrap thig for a few years now and trying to get more tuned up on the ins and outs. He wasn't sure about them "computer parts" I was sorting until i sold off a big pile of mother boards then every board he see's is now a "mother board" even the ones from radio's and toasters...............

Welcome from ky, and as "sir quotes a lot"(don't get offended) said already there is a lot to learn here. U can read all day for a week and not get through everything. Good info though and lots of it.
And on a side note, "the great one" sirscrapalot has his own cooler that he has to protect daily. I have one too though, but he is defentally better qualified at it than I am I think. Lol

Yay, Maryland! Welcome aboard. I'm originally from MD, and I'm new to this board too. It's a very friendly community and there are lots of knowledgeable people here, so you've come to the right place.

Hammer, the best/easiest way for him to differentiate between them would be brown board, green board. You can sort/ break them down further from there. I always put an eyeball on the brown boards cause the mfgr. will sneak in a gold plug-in once in a while.

Hello from Southern Maryland as well. I'm learning that there are quite a few members from MD on here.

I need to start picking up plastics from you E-scrap guys.

Marylanders, go to the member map section (on the top bars)and put your location up. Right now there are only a few on there. It would be nice to see if anyone else is close by.
