    Question NY Scrap checking in!!

Hey, what's up fellow scrap-a-holics?1 This is Face1 and what I'm trying to decide is the pros and cons of breaking down a nice sized ac I received.
A: As a new scrapper what is the advantage of breaking it down verses tossing it in with the other metals and getting paid by the total weight, besides the values of the other elements within the ac?

the two "radiators" go as al/cu (.50/#?), the compressor goes at .25/#, the motors go at .25/#, some copper wire .90/#, some plastic trash, and some shred.

or you can throw it all in the shred for .10/#

make sure you properly dispose of the refridgerant.

Besides the fact that some (most/all?) scrap yards wont take air conditioners. You'd need to remove the freon.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
