    Greetings from Big Sky Country!

Hi Everybody! . . .new guy here from MT and I just discovered this awesome site. I'm very impressed with the friendly atmosphere and the boat loads of information. Thanks in advance to everyone.

About me: I'm a service tech in the HVAC business. We recycle all of the dead heating and cooling units that we pull out of service. I'm a little burnt out on the rat race of being a furnace repairman, and I'm looking to get into a side business of scrapping cars. I see a ton of junk cars on my daily travels. Hopefully make it a full-time gig someday. For now, I'll keep slaving to the grind.

You might be able to set up a side business of recycling fridges, acs, and stuff like that if you have a refrigerant license. might be a good way to spread the work about your car business.

    Greetings from Big Sky Country!

Welcome. Yeah if you can reclaim freon, you could make great money on ac's fridges, etc. I believe you can even resell the freon if you have the setup. Read up on some old posts and you are on your way!

The thought has definitely crossed my mind as I am fully licensed for all refrigerants. It sorta becomes a conflict of interest with my employer, so I haven't pursued it too much. Now cars on the other hand . . .
