    my intro

Hey hows it going. so I am super new to scrapping. I was a construction worker who got sick of being laid off for a few weeks at a time. my buddy suggested I try scrapping. I was like ok I have a truck how hard can it be. well its not hard I just lack knowledge of it. so my first week I went out 7 scrapped for five hours. I made a hundred bucks on bulk metal. I was kind of discouraged. I needed more info so I came here. that's my story.

Welcome, and it actually is pretty hard if your doing it right!!! Use the search bar in the upper right hand corner, and read up on whatever it is you are wondering about. Most topics have been covered, if you can't find it, just ask!

$100 for five hours (I assume the "7" should have been "&"). Not bad in my opinion. If you'd learn to break down stuff and maximize profit, you'll do better. Not sure what you made as a construction worker but around here that would be pretty good.

People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Scrapping definitely isnt a get rich quick deal. Its hard work, but if you keep at it you'll hit the jackpot now and again!

Welcome to the forum. There's loads of info on here that will get you going. You just have to put time in to find good connections for scrap.

And you might want to start out with your own "business" cards with your contact info that you can hand to anyone/everyone you see and meet. Networking helps a lot. You started out good, I'd take 100. any day.
