My name is Mitch, I own a small computer repair business in Western Arkansas. For the past 10 years, I've been bringing all of my scrap to the local recycling place and just giving it to them. I'm sure I haven't given them a fortune in material, but I was throwing profits right down the drain the whole time. I've been saving gold fingers and whole RAM/processors for about a year, as well as aluminum/copper heat sinks, but only now am I starting to get into seriously scrapping and wanting to learn all that I can about the process. I'm looking to have some fun learning a little bit of chemistry in doing some of the gold recovery myself, make a little extra money in waste that I was just throwing away before, and do my part to make sure some of this
e-waste isn't ending up in landfills. If I can do that and make some money, I'll be a happy guy!
I read a thread on this forum that was produced from a google query "recycle ABS plastic". Some of you folks seem pretty knowledgeable about this stuff. I look forward to meeting and working with some of you!
