I have been reading on here off and on for a couple of weeks, cant believe how much money I have literally thrown/given away over the years by not knowing enough!

I part out cars often, so learning some tricks to maximize profit on the cars I already deal with is a plus! Also all of this e scrapping stuff I would like to get into, just tore apart a junk pc, a junk portable radio, a junk jvc car cd player, and a ford factory amp. Looking forward to learning more as I go!

I absolutely feel the same way, as far as giving away the scrap. The sad part is, I knew about the electronic scrapping, I just didn't have time for it.

Now that I both service, and scrap, I'm maximizing my returns.

    Lesson learned!

Anyways, welcome to the forums and we look forward to having you.

    Thanks!

Yes, years ago I had gutted and thrown away MANY a catalytic converter, I learned better from that in 2007, of course the converter market died/changed in 2008 or 09. That's not to mention how cheap I have let scrap wire and car bodies go for, not to mention pulling heater cores, evap cores etc.

It kills me, the stuff I've tossed, and the stuff I've let other people toss, electronics-wise. I've been cutting cords for years, and opening things up for the wires, and selling steel, but never realized all the money to be made from the boards. I also never realized how much fun it all is to break down.

Don't even talk to me about the cars I've donated away over the years...
