Talking Urban Mining Recyclers, formerly Sooner A

    Hey folks,
I am member SoonerA. I have officially started my business under the name of Urban Mining Recyclers, and boy does it feel good.

I have learned SOOOOO much from this forum in the last few months. I love the sense of community and the like thinking of the members here!

I am currently designing my logo for cards and flyers to pass out and start networking.

Our local big trash day is next week, so you know what that means? $$$$$ Since I lack sufficient space, and do not want to annoy my neighbors (again), I have decided to rent a storage unit to drop off the goods I pick up from CurbCo this next week. Even a half full pick-up bed load of shred will more than pay for that.

As I bring more income to the business, I plan to find a suitable location, invest in things like wire strippers, granulator, shaker tables etc. to facilitate copper recovery. I would like to become an e-waste buyer for Oklahoma like Ewasted and others. I also have grand dreams of being a plastics recycler, as currently no one in OK accepts ABS plastics, even for free. I want to be the solution for the problems Ive encountered in this venture. There are several local yards that take e-waste, but the prices are low low low.

Thanks for all of the valuable information I have learned here. I have many ideas to share, and I'll be sure to post pics!

Good luck with the new endeavor! Plastic recycling is the last step to closing the ewaste loop.
