Hello! From PA. Starting to like the idea of scrapping as a side job.

Hey guys. New here from PA. I just found this website a few days ago. I kinda have the kick for scrapping after visiting from Ih8mud.com and 4btswaps.com. The reason being: I've been searching for a bread van with a cummins 4bt engine and I've come across several run down bread vans with no 4bt, but, I discovered on past two sites mentioned that the aluminum body on bread vans can yield up to 2000-2500 lbs. of scrap aluminum. Around 1000 dollars! So, this has been what has gotten me interested in scrap metal. I pass a lot of "gunk" along the road every day as I do delivery for my job. So I've been thinking about the possibility of pulling in some extra money.
I have two questions of possible money to be made and I'm going to post in "day in life of a scrapper" as I think this is the appropriate sub forum for questions? Thanks guys. I'm not much for posting comments and such, but, I do lurk/read a lot on some other forums and possibly this one as well as time goes on. -Tyler.
