    proper introduction

I just wanted to properly introduce myself which I did not do in my first post question.
I am a beginner amateur scrapper from the eastern shore of the state of Maryland.
I have enjoyed the experience of scrapping old useless electronic devices.
I hope to find this hobby worth doing and I have a lot to learn.
Please I appreciate any tips or advise I can get.
So far I have not found it as profitable as I hope for.
    I only received a $10 check from topcashforscrapusa for a 25lb. shipment.
But if I can find a way to make it a little more profitable I will continue doing it.

Welcome, Eric! Take your time and read the old threads. There is a vast wealth of knowledge and information. While you are doing the reading, keep piling up the boards and become familiar with the buyers/sellers section. There are many good choices, of legit folks, to deal with. Many have been here years, and processed tons of material, for hundreds of people. Buyers don't make it here long, if at all, if they are not honest and reputable. BroJer

Yep, what BroJer said, that "company" goes by 5 or 6 different names but their payout is always the same. You just did not get kissed is all.
Depending on what you sent you could of had a $100.00 for your trouble.

Welcome to the forums from a sandbar off the coast of NC!

You'll find all the info you need here to increase your profits in the world of ewaste if you take the time to do a bit of reading each day/night. As Brojer mentioned, are buyers here are not like the group you used. They wouldn't last long if they did what that company did to you, to us. We're an easy going bunch for the most part, but a couple of things we don't tolerate are..Scammers, thieves, illegal scrapping, an other things of that nature. So rest assured with our buyers your getting some of the best the industry has to offer.

One other thing on the buyers, you'll see plenty of reviews from us sellers, so rest assured, companies like the one you used previously, don't come here.

Good luck to ya, an let us know how things are going for you!
