Hello everyone,
Im a scrapper and just moved here to the beach about 6 months ago. I was wondering if anybody knows of a good scrap yard to go to in this area besides Wanchese and Currituck. Its a lot different here than wake county NC thats for sure,or maybe they just do things different around these parts. I just finished going to one of the yards and was surprised to get finger printed and was informed that if I bring copper in, id have to be photographed with the copper in hand, and instead of paying cash,they cut me a check. Is this the new norm in scrapping? Do alot of scrap yards do business this way now?? I wasnt upset, but I was a little shocked by it all.
