I'm a electrician apprentice during the day and scrapper at night I drive a 4x4 s10 I usually go curb shopping for metal I've been doing it for about 2 weeks my best days have been Monday thru Wednesdays I've been coming home with truck loads on those nights. I've usually try to only stay out for 2-3 hrs max and usually make 75-150 a night minus 20 bucks for gas I grab anything metal even something has small has a broom handle. I also make sure to get receipts from the scrap yard so I can add it up at the end of the month just to see what I made for person knowledge. But if you guys have any tips to help me out or tips to make it so I can fit more in my truck would be greatly appreciated.
    Have a good day
    Welcome from Upstate NY!

My tip is...check out the For sale -> Free section on craigslist and follow up on any leads you can find. I've found that if I go follow up on a craigslist post, 9/10 I'll end up with more stuff than I went out for, either from the poster or seeing curbed items on the way there/back.

Also, garage sales, especially towards the end. People hold garage sales to get rid of "junk" and not to make money. A lot of times, they'll end up just throwing stuff at you and begging you to take it away. Whether it's scrap, resellable gizmo or an antique they only want a dollar for, it's well worth the time to go check these garage/yard/estate sales out.

Oh, and if you're an electrician's apprentice, you definitely know where to find wire. 'Nuff said.
