    Hi and Looking for advice

Hi - we've just received a warehouse full of old computers and high end audio/video equipment to scrap. Plus, we have several old phone systems to take apart...phones and system. We're located in Utah and my teenage son wants to scrap all of this equipment for some extra cash. I found SMF and it is a gold mine of advice! Thank-you! The local Recycle place only pays .05 a pound for computer towers. I know they are worth more than that if we take them apart for escrap. Previously, I've sold some cards on ebay, but it's getting a little saturated. I'm looking for the best place to send our escrap. I've looked at Boardsort and cashforcomputerscrap. They seem to be about the same? What is ewasted? Also...is it worth it break down and pull all the copper out of power supplies? or is it better/easier/faster to sell as a complete power supply. Is there any money to be earned in ribbon wire? Thanks in advance!

The second buyer you mentioned is Mario aka ewasted.
Currently looking for a job in or related to scrap/recycling. Relocation is possible for the right offer.

Calb, they are not the same because you will get good honest service with Ewasted.
Don't be confused cause there is another cashforcomputerscrap on the 'net but not here, and they are like nite and day with any of our other buyers.

In the post above, Mechanic gave you a highlighted link to the buyer's section of this forum. You can look up Ewasted's thread in that section...

Ive had honest good service with boardsort as well back in smaller days. Also as a buyer here on the forums I would be glad to help you with anything you need.

i notice you mentioned ebay,, ive had luck selling alot of the office phone systems ive got on ebay...especially if you get the brain box..im not 100 percent sure if thats what its called but thats what i call it...you know the main switchboard box that you need to make those kind of phones woork.....ive got as much as 400 dollars from one of them before..and that was selling it untested as is.....

there are some great buyers in the buyers section...when you see a buyers thread if you look below the bold tittle it will say...started by xxxxxx......just look for the one that says started by ewasted ...if he is the buyer you desire to use....i am located closest to him so he is who i use....ive had nothing but sucess dealing with him....from what ive read there are several quality buyers on here..just do a little research and find the one who best suits your needs
