Long time listener, first time caller

I thought I would finally register and join in on the conversations!

Information Technology guy during the day, scrapper during the summer. I work at a school district and get scrap computers from my own district and from neighboring districts. I do about 300-400 computer a summer. Scrapping out computers has allowed me to pay down our debt and given me some fun money! When first married, trying to make ends meet while living in a rental house, I scrapped out 350 computer on the back of my tailgate. I look back and wonder how I did it!

I live in central MN and just took my annual summer load of scrap down to IRT.

Always seem like there is something to learn about scrapping!

I didn't give IRT all my stuff :-) Waiting for a shipping quote from ewasted for my hard drive boards, memory, and procs! IRT wanted to know where that stuff was when I unloaded. Told them I was selling it to someone else and told them the prices. They told me those prices are bogus and that the stuff will end up at there place anyways! I just smiled!

Leaf spring schackles = $89 a piece at my closest ford dealership . They are real fun to put on too !

Putting at least some of the load from the pickup onto the trailer would lessen the strain on the pickup while evening out the load. Trailers are made with 60% of the bed ahead of the axle and 40% behind. Loaded evenly from front to back would put the recommended weight on the tongue. I don't always get all of my loads loaded correctly, but I try to aim for those requirements. At night, those headlights shine into the stars when overloaded. Welcome to the site Mopad.

Welcome from sunny Florida. You are doing the right thing by saving your higher end boards for a buyer here on the forum. Even mother boards are worth shipping. It might take a little while to get your quote, ewasted is moving into a bigger warehouse and some times things don't go to smooth. Once he's settled in you will find that he is fair, fast and honest.

Thanks guys for the warm welcome. I think it's time to upgrade the pickup to a f250-350 crew cab 7.3 diesel! Gotta dream a little bit!
