Good lord..if I got my wife on here, I'd be setting up the couch as my bed more often then not! I get in enough trouble without her being on here!

An any profit I made would be totally gone. I've already had to tell her she can't go with me anymore on curbco runs or to the yard..she keeps trying to take all my money! LOL. If she finds just one thing by her math, the whole load becomes her. Ha ha!

Then again..I'm married, so in her mind..mine is hers an hers is hers.

Edited to add: An no fair using Sir in your post title, I thought I was in trouble!

My wife says I can scrap all I want as long as she gets her cut of 100%.

Well hey, I have to hide cash for gas so I can make more cash for mine to spend. "I" never have money, but my tax return says different.

I've had people try and sell me something- or some dude would be short at work trying to buy something and they would look towards me.. I'd say "Ha.. I'm a married man.. I don't carry cash" and just laugh. If they didn't believe me I'd take out my wallet and open it up.. then motion as if a moth came flying out- sometimes I'd even talk to the moth.. By then.. no one in that group would every try to "bum money" off me again!

If it's not the wife, it's the kids. i actually have 2 wallets now. 1 they know about, and the other one that never leaves the locked glove box that actually has a few bucks in it, they hopefully will never know exists.

My dad always had what he called "a rathole" which was usually a tightly folded $50 dollar bill buried so deep in his wallet- it would take someone days to find it if they didn't know where it was!

tried that... no bueno... it vanished... wasn't $50 tho, was only a $20 at least. i have cash stashed a few places but my wallet is the least "safe" place I have. Inside the battery compartment of my flashlight is another of my favorite places. have actually put a few hundred in a ziplock bag and taped it to the underside of one of the drawers in my tool box too. now for sure, my wife is not allowed on this site. i'm giving up too many secrets lol

I pop the battery cover off my cell and carry a few bucks there, since I usually have my phone on me more than my wallet. As for a wife/girlfriend. Don't have one. Seems better that way from what I read here.

This just in: Half of the SMF Membership has now moved to the couch. Their wives/girlfriends/kids found the site.

IN other news: Various reports are coming in about SMF members having their wallets, tool boxes, an cell phones turned inside out by loved ones.

    More at 11.

ahhh i don't really care. i don't hide too much from my wife anyway. in all reality, as long as my daughter doesn't find it, it's all probably safe.

Nah man my wife is a good woman. She has put up with my hairbrain ideas and habits for a long time and she hasn't wound up on the 5th floor yet. I don't have much (if any) bad to say about her.

    The wife's viewpoint on scrapping

Pro's: She gets what she thinks is "Free" Money

Con's: My scrap pile overtook her garage stall =P, kitchen floor is filthy 24/7 from boots, random pieces of metal get left all over the house, tools will sometimes end up in odd spots... like the end table, 2x the laundry since I have my business work outfit/normal clothes/scrapping clothes, whenever she has to give me a ride I have some piece of scrap that ends up in her trunk for a few days, I spend 3/4 my spare time in the garage, all the extra buckets/bins dissapeared from the house and turned into scrap containers, blahhh blahhhhhh blahhhhhhhhhh! <3 =D

I see scrapping as my escape from reality, I think of it as a giant treasure hunt that happens monday - wednsday. And its a bonus when someone gives you a "map" to go over to a treasure cove full of scrap and goodies.

I buy the lady dinner from time to time from my scrap profits, so i cant say she's not a supporter lol.
