Greetings from Arizona!

Hi SMF members;



I'm Shego and I live in a small western AZ town nobody admits to being from. When asked how they ended up here, most people will tell you their car broke down and they couldn't afford to fix it and leave.
I'm really excited about finding this forum because I just started collecting materials to recycle and I've already read nearly every online scrapping article I could find. Most had the same information and though I learned a lot more than I expected, I'm sure the best education I can get is from those of you who have been at this a while.
I've been recycling aluminum cans for years at small, local mom and pop operations. I wasn't even aware that I could make money with scrap metal-I thought I would need at least a ton before I could turn it in. I wish I would have researched the matter sooner. I've been under-employed for a couple years, picking up an odd job here and there and cleaning homes and businesses whenever I can find someone who understands the value of my work and is willing to pay a reasonable wage. Unfortunately our community is economically challenged but we do have half a dozen or so recycle centers for metals.
I've been a treasure hunter since I could walk so recycling is a perfect fit. I love the hunt more than the cash! I look forward to reading all the valuable posts so I can make the most of my time and efforts.
