Just wanted to introduce myself. Wasn't sure a forum like this existed but I'm glad I found it I'm sure I'll learn a lot. I never really scrapped before. I'm usually one of those annoying people that waves you down on the street but who knows?
I had a question and had immediate, awesome answers. Not many forums are like this so I was happy.
I do work for a local business to my area and we were throwing out a ton of metal. We're not allowed to recycle any metal but *friends* can. We loaded a coworker's friends truck to the brim with countless pounds of metal. My coworker gave him specific instructions to separate all metals. Like... one was a huge beam with odds and ends of steel attached and the rest was non magnetic. Which took two of us to lift. There was brass, copper, aluminum, etc... The kid took the entire load to the scrap yard for a whopping $22.82. Maybe I'll point him in this direction.
