    i actually just started scrapping a couple of months ago. I own a couple of rental properties so there was always items like water heaters, plumbing parts, appliances, etc. laying around. normally i would just put them out to the curb for the garbage pick up until i decided to take my first load to the scrap yard. i would always see trucks driving through the alleys with scrap metal piled 7 feet up in the air and wondered how much they were getting for it. i became addicted after i took my first load in and im just trying to learn how to maximize the profit now. i bought an old chevy s10 about 5 mnths ago and got a 5 x 8 trailer about a week ago.

    i bought an old chevy s10 about 5 mnths ago and got a 5 x 8 trailer about a week ago.
    You have a good start going, with my Ford Ranger I can go to the scrap yard for $5. in gas. Cha-Ching.

    yep. i have literally three scrap yards that i could walk to by me. i recently broke my leg and have been off work so this has been keeping me busy. there is a lot of competition around me though too.

    haha now that i think about it two days after my surgery i threw an air conditioner in the back of my subura on my crutches
