    Hello from MurrayTown, SC

Just found this forum and glad that I did. I'm a scrap hobbiest and want to learn more about scrapping electronics primarily. I have come across a very large Nortel system that was decommissioned and I have it now. I have perhaps a couple of thousand pounds of line cards, etc that I need to scrap. I have used cashforelectronicscrap dot com one time and was disappointed in what I received. I see on this forum some comments that the potential is great for what I have. I will be looking for someone in the south east to sell my green boards too. I also get a fair number of personal computers that I process and separate for scrap. Any advice will be welcome. Thank you!!!

Welcome from the Dakota's. Cannot help you with any of the varibles you present, but others can. While waiting for the experts to provide their insight visit the old forums and the buyers/sellers section. These will give you a good start.

I'll bet it was the one with USA in it's name Cash for Electronics Scrap - Recycle Computers - Cash 4 Electronics
and if it was, you should have checked out BBB and others with all the complaints about this company. Also they go by about 4 or 5 different names. (that's never a good sign) We have many good buyers on here and welcome to the forum, just take some time to do some reading and you'll improve your income.

Any update on this Gages? I have just come across a machine that you described. It is a Nortel DMS-100. I am trying to sell it as one unit to an end user as it is surprisingly still in use to this day. I went to my local Verizon switching station and they had several rows of these things. I think I may have to scrap the line cards and was wondering how you made out. I have about 100 of them and they are about 10 lbs each.
