    Hello from Pennsylvania

Hello my name Dave, I live approx 20 miles outside of Philadelphia, PA. I have been lurking and wanted to introduce myself. Besides scrapping I am interested in learning how to fix things, bicycles , personal finance, hunting and dogs.

I have a full-time job that I enjoy as an electronic technician with a low voltage contractor.

I look at scrapping as a way to make extra income and to have fun.

Scrap metal is not going to be my sole source of income but I want to maximize my earning potential (profit).

My plan is to learn more to earn more. Have a used van, and one car garage to have as a small workshop. Need to organize the garage so I will have a place to work and play.

I would like to find items that I could fix then resell and sell everything else to the scrap yard. I think at first I will try curb shopping. Does anyone think that this is a bad idea or a waste of time ?

Hopefully in the future I would be able to contribute to the forum.

Have enjoyed reading the forum and think there is some interesting and helpful people here.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for a great intro. You are on the right path by reading the old threads.

Along with the reading dismatle as much as you can to learn whats inside. Many of our memberes resell so there's a lot of information about it on the forum.

Lastly we have a buyers/sellers section, read the reviews and determine if you want to use any of them, I do. Mike

Welcome to the forum. Curb shopping is totally dependent on your area. Where I live you can't find anything.
