Beginning recycler wanting pro tips

    Thumbs up Beginning recycler wanting pro tips

    i have been scrapping for about 2 months now and i havent really made much profit. I usually just drive around the city at night on garbage night and usually make only $75 to $110. How do i get the big stuff like copper and aluminum to make more of a profit? Or what places can i go to get the bigger items? Please help.

    Most of use get small amounts of copper, alum, etc out of the $75-100 worth of metal, and save it up. you also get lucky sometimes and find old copper pipes, etc.

    If you see a box for a faucet, or pots and pans guess what might be in the box.....yep the old one might be in there, or in the pile.

    Everyone should know you are a scrapper. Maybe make friends with the garbage man.
    Currently looking for a job in or related to scrap/recycling. Relocation is possible for the right offer.

    Welcome and start on page one of the archives and you will find all your answers. You got to do some reading and research then you can really start making some money.

    Always be on the look out for resale able stuff. It'll take a little work and frustration but in the end pays off. Just sold a item I got free for 200$!! Took some time to post it, cl like site, but after 5 months of posting it, I sold it. Out no money and very little time to make 200$.
