Cool New member reposting intro as the intro I did last evening apparently got lost...

Howdy! 61 years young. Name's Felix. Old enough to know better and too young to retire so scrapping seemed like a fun thing to do in my spare time. I also raise honeybees, sell honey and drive a school bus as a substitute which suits me just fine. Been scrapping for about 6 months now and mostly been entertained by it all. Learning a lot every day. My local buying yard is quite helpful and patient. Seems I ask new questions every visit and they mostly have a smile and an answer.

I use an old & reliable Chevy Cargo van I've had for 18 years as a toolbox. I installed a 2nd battery on an isolator switch, 1500 watt inverter and what seems to be an entire 2nd set of shop tools (including a floor jack and 4 jack stands) over the last 6 months so I wasn't always looking for something in one place or the other.

I use a 16' wood deck 7,000 GCW car trailer for hauling. It now has installed on the front a 12v 3,000 # winch to haul on car hulks plus a 1 ton electrified crane on the passenger side front to lift riding mowers, engine blocks etc. Seems to be working out ok.

Enough about me. I'm glad to be a part of the community!

Below is a link 'Scrap Metal' to some of my 1st photographs. I haven't yet gotten a photobucket account but posted some photos to my own pages.

Well welcome again. Like I said the first tome it sounds like you have a nice set up with equipment. Like to see some pics like Patriot said.

    Hi.

I tried posting a photo last evening I use on CL all the time of van & trailer with my 2nd load (which has actually turned out to be my single heaviest. Not maybe the most $ but the most #.

Each time I tried uploading I got an error message about file size so with a photo editor I kept reducing the file size till it was nearly miniscule but still I received the same message. The .jpg initial size is only 57.1 kb so I wouldn't think that would be a problem. I'm missing something so will need to read up in help section.

    Greetings from Wyoming!

I just put my photos on Photobucket, and insert them that way. It seems easier to me.

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one who still uses an old Chevrolet. I'll pass on the chrome on the new trucks- money looks better to me!
