Hello everyone! I just joined the forum and look forward to interacting with each of you. Right now, I am looking to offload a lot of scrap (mostly electronic equipment), but who knows...that may change! Hope this message finds you all well.

OC - Welcome from the IE
Welcome aboard. However, care to edumecate an old "limey" living in NorCal, where/what is OC ? and Bigburt, the only IE I know, is Internet Explorer
The OC is Orange County and the IE is the Inland Empire. Both areas that boarder each other in Southern Cal., making the two communities, almost like next door neighbors! The IE is considered to be the South Western part of San Bernardino County, San Bernardino County is the largest county in the country and the IE is the most populated portion of the county. What I like about the IE is you can be in any part of Southern Cal. in about a hour, so we are like in the middle of it all without the dense population (yet).

Thank you all for the warm greetings.
NewbyScrapper, bigburtchino said it all. Though I admit fault in not clarifying in my original post! However, I am curious-where in the UK were you from? I have family in Bristol, London, and Birmingham.
Wow, many thanks for the comprehensive info re OC and IE abbreviations. I'm in the EB of SFO
I'm close to 75, only came to the UK in 1958, via South Africa, Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia) and the Netherlands. Spent time in Suffolk (East Anglia), Hampshire and Dorset, courtesy of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II, in the RAF for 12 years, as a military air traffic controller.
