    Hello everyone

Hi my name is Joe I live on the southern Oregon coast. The closest yard I use is 2.5 hours away on a windy twisty road with a few steep grades. I will not be deterred! Started scrapping a few years back before prices hit the roof, was helping a friend clean up a house and garage had half a truck bed full of copper brass steel ect. Instead of taking it to the free metal drop off thought we would see what we could get. Was hoping to at least pay for the gas for the drive to the valley. Looked through the yellow pages and selected a yard they were very nice and showed us how to properly separate for best pay, we learned a lot that day and when we left we had a check for $280. I was hooked!
Now we have a 18 ft 10k flatbed with 8k winch 4x8 yard work trailer f250 diesel 4x4 lots of hand tools torch etc. my two favorites are a big pair of adjustable pliers and a pair of hand held pruners (coronas) which work great for cutting copper.
I have learned a lot from this forum and would like to say THANK YOU!!

Welcome Joe. Good intro! I'm gonna go sharpen my pruners now.

Welcome Joe. You either love it and see the potential for it, as you obviously have, or think its a waste of time. Or it's to hard.
Welcome to the club that love's it!
