The boiler model # & specs should be right on the front up near the top.

If the jacket has been removed .... look for the boiler plate.

Don't forget: If it's an oldie you may be dealing with asbestos insulation. It's likely that you'll find it on the target wall of the firebox as well.

Many don't realize that asbestos and other materials that are a hazard are many times not realized.

Such as office copy machines and the toner and such that are found in them.

The electrical units with hazardous materials inside them.

I posted this as I was reminded of a story I was told years back by a man I knew at the flea market.

He told me about a man that had thought he made a deal when he was paid to haul away many 55 gallon drums with a cement like looking powder in them.

He hauled them home and figured that he could use the grey powdered material for his driveway. So he spread it out on his driveway.

Years later he and his family started to become sick and found out that they had gotten cancers and such from the mystery powder that had been in those drums.

Sometimes when a DEAL seems to good to be TRUE.

There might be a hazardous downside and/or death.
