First ever post here! Im Salik, currently reside in UAE.
I thought before i post my requirement in a specific section, i'd ask you guys to perhaps point me in the right direction? I seek to make profits by earning commissions as a percentage of total value of sale.
So! any advise and tips are most welcome

This article is about the business practice. In the United States, a finder's fee is the compensation given to an intermediary in a business transaction. Usually, there is a causal relationship between the one party and the intermediary (the finder), another relationship between the finder and the second party, and the two parties of the transaction would not have met if it were not for the work of the finder.
Such compensation is common in business and is regulated by contractual agreements and law in the United States.[1] A finder's fee can also be a gift from one party of the transaction, who feel morally obligated that the profits of the transaction be shared with the finder for making that transaction possible.[2]

Understood! Americans call it finder's fee, British call it commission. Ive been brought up in a British education system and did my ACCA (similar to CPA) and have good knowledge about contract law, corporate law, finance related aspects if import and export etc.x`
I mentioned this in another thread as well, i trust my buyer fully and he will not circumvent me in order to save paying for the finder's fee. However i cannot say the same for sellers. But to be honest, im not really bothered about that either, i just want to learn and get to know the business well, make the right connections and then hopefully after making a few deals online, make the rest of them in person!
What kind of scrap do you deal in?

Most of us are small/medium sized recyclers. I don't know of any "big boys" that export on a daily basis. Might have a couple that lurk in the shadows that we don't know about. We have over 18,000 members registered but a lot of them come on here as guests. If you need info on yards here in the states then this link might help. That's about all I got,,,
