    Beer money.

    Hi big kids.

Name is John. I cut yards in the summer and fix computers year-round.

Cleaned out the garage recently, looks like beer money for darts league night.
Mowers and weedeaters I can break down, no problem.

Then cleaned out the computer desks and found a ton of old RAM and PCI cards.
Also a few CRTs and printers, two non-working flatbed scanners. And I have an
old military oscilloscope, this thing is huge.

Right now the plan is to cut off the fingers off cards and sell it on eBay
along with any gold colored pins or plugs, anything with attenuators really.

The oscope has a nice thick aluminum case, I am wondering what other goodies
might be in it. It has the model number 1740A.

Would it be better to simply list various types of RAM for sale, intact, as a lot?

Any good pointers before I dive into the archives?

Interesting you chose the title "beer money" but we will find you beside the coffee pot I'm the same way, if I'm not drinking one, I'm drinking the other.

Welcome to the forum. Best advice you will get is to READ ALL OF IT! Not flaming you here, I mean it just start searching "ram" "oscilliscope" etc. By the way if that works, I would try to sell it whole. Just the tubes fetch good money on ebay.

I'm new here as well but I'd suggest you look at the buyers posts. Seems that cutting off fingers is not the way to go.
Although I do think it has worked well for the Mob (that's heresay of course).
    Welcome!

Thanks! The warm welcome is much appreciated.

Local scrapyard pays 25 cents per pound for towers.

After reading on this forum it seems that these cards might go better on ebay as working cards. Except for modems. Nobody wants modems anymore. efax ftw

Can test them in an old P4.

The RAM I really can't test and thus cannot, in good faith, sell it as whole/working. Any recommendations?
