Need some info on scrapping price

Can someone please tell me how much cash your looking at from the scrap yard when you scrap a 28x55 doublewide trailer with all appliance and an extra upright freezer ?

    Thanks for your time

If you find someone that will give you $300 for it, you will come out ahead. Take the money and spend some time with your kids. It will be a better investment.

The cash you will receive is whatever your local scrap yard happens to be paying per pound for the items you mentioned above.

.04 per pound if you take it in whole.

no way of knowing before hand. there are thousands of different ways that trailer could have been built, all with different scrap values and trash costs.
Currently looking for a job in or related to scrap/recycling. Relocation is possible for the right offer.

Some yards won't take them due to the amount of non metal. You also have appliances with refrigerant to deal with.

That's odd I never heard of a yard that doesn't take appliances. If I'm not mistaken the price the mills give them factors in a certain amount of fluff for shred.

They may not take the trailer due to the non metal items, Ie floor, walls cabinrts, etc. Refrigerators have refrigerant that must be revovered. Some yards take as id, some only if evacuated and some charge.

Ohh I misread the question. I thought the guy was asking about a trailer full of scrap(trailer like the kind you hitch to your vehicle). Yeah a lot of yards won't take mobile homes since they're mostly junk very little metal.

There are a lot of variables that will determine how much they get. What types of metals, i.e., is the siding aluminum. Are they going to spend the time to get clean aluminum? What do the yards pay? Your regular yard may pay 50 cents for romex, where a speciality yard may be 135 or higher.
