    Hello from NW Montana

    Been seeing more electronics on auction sites and thought I should learn a bit about how they get scrapped. Did cardboard many years ago and now retired and looking for a way to pick up some play money while "saving the planet"... [-;

    Always pains me to take my household trash to the green box site and see all the stuff there that looks as if it should be of value to SOMEONE-and it irritates me no end to see an apparently intact, possibly repairable appliance there that someone has chopped off the power cord so I can't easily test to see if it powers up by simply plugging it into my CCC [cheap Chinese crap] inverter.

    Thinking it would be nice if I could combine scrapping with fishing-take an armload of electronic stuff to disassemble while waiting for a bite.

    Welcome from the Dakota's. Sounds like you have "scrap fever". You will know for sure when you start making fishing lures from scrap.

    Welcome from Southern Montana, Oldphart.
    I usually just scrap the fish...but you may have just created a new sport!

    I've found a great way to recycle all my fish scraps--Shaq thinks well-boiled fish remains are pure manna from heaven...

    Welcome to the forum. I'm out on the coast and was out your way last Summer made it as far as Taft. We rode the old Hiawatha trail photo at 4000' a real nice part of the country.
