    Hello

I run an electronics recycling business in Nebraska. I have read the forums for some time, usually spend about 15 minutes in the morning reading and looking for tips to maximize the business.

I have a background in IT work, and this seemed to be the next logical step in business with the amount of ewaste that is produced. Always looking to be better, smarter, more efficient and environmentally conscious in the way I conduct my business.

One thing I have learned is that I am never done learning, and no matter how well I may do something there may be someone out there with a better idea of how to do things. Here to learn and contribute where I can.

Welcome to the forum from your neighbor from the north. What part of Nebraska do you live? With your background, I am sure you have a great deal to share with this group. Good luck to you and enjoy the reading.

Thank you. I live just outside of Omaha. How is business going in SD. Nebraska prices are still a bit low.

Prices in SD are slightly lower than in Omaha. I spent part of last year in Omaha doing a salvage operation on the old James Street Power Plant just east of the Old Market. I am hopeful I will be back to scrap the old Omaha Civic Center in the near future. A little bit different than the scrapping you are doing, but we share a common goal.

There is a young man on here from just west of Omaha that is into all types of Scrapping. I will let him respond when he can. The two of you could be an asset to each other. If he does not chime in publically, I will PM you his name after you have ten posts. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Thank you. I have only done one commercial building tear down. It was a smaller 5 story building. Funnest part to me was dismantling the I Line electrical system. It is amazing what some 3 phase breakers and equipment is worth. Takes a man to haul out 20 550lbs transformers by hand, with one helper ...
