Welcome to SMF. I lack the experience shipping overseas, but am interested in the process. If you join the forum, you can advertise and maybe get some of the big dogs involved.

With that being said, two questions pop to mind immediately. What kind of prices are you offering and do you have the network for shipping scrap at a reasonable price? It seems the cost of shipping would destroy the profit margin, unless I am missing something. Look forward to your insight.

Hello Patriot thanks for your attention.

Shipping/forwarding is mine specialism, ı shall arrange these no worry.
You are right regarding the profit (shipping costs) but if there is any chance to collect by own! things will change.
    Pointer turns to you

ı know as clean aluminum is collecting from 0,50-0,60 usd lb by yards (as your words big dogs) ? if ı am right
    this makes 1.100 -1.350 usd per ton (kg/lb 2,20 1ton :1.000kg)

ı can just say that ı will be eager to pay more, ı do not want to say a price or b price at the moment
because have to calculate inland (distance of port) & ocean freight etc

but ı am %100 sure ı may give more then this ı can give an example; aluminum block engines (unsorted)
ı will be eager to buy from 300 -400 usd per piece (up to the engine )

I would think if you could operate from a U.S. port you could do very well. Purchase and pay then handle the shipping out of the U.S. would make many U.S. scrap yards want to do business with you. Best of luck, Mike

    Hello Dogukan-Istanbul

Hello Mike problem is who will sell the right product within right price? I had asked several times from big yards some of them turned me back with unworkable rates.

Yes but until you are here with money and a facility you may find that few are seriously interested in you. Keep trying. Mike
