    Intro

Hey guys, my name is Dillon, and I'm from the east coast of Florida and I've been a member for a few days and haven't posted an intro yet, but have already gotten a few hints of advice from posting in other forums (sorry, just saw this section). I'm 26 years old and specialize in copper and brass and haul tons and tons of steel a week. I own a trucking and a recycling company, and haul anything and everything that will fit in or on my trailers and love scrapping. I got my start from having roll off dumpsters on construction sites and I saw what was being trashed and I started picking through and saw that what I pulled out was worth money and have actually grown a business around that. Now I buy from multiple contractors of many types in my area and am trying to grow further. Escrap is something I'm trying to learn more about and I also recycle paper, cardboard, and plastics. (And also haul and deliver Indian river citrus and orange juice and pickles all over the state of Florida)

Thank you patriot, I may know about this and that but I don't know everything, and I am willing and wanting to learn. I know I am young and In some areas people look down on me as if I'm ignorant, but after that, I end up buying their scrap a month later lol. I've worked hard enough to be a vendor for the local school board, county, city and even the Florida's turnpike. But just because I am where I am in my life doesn't mean I know all there is to know about scrap. I'm hoping this forum can help me to exceed and out perform any local competition (while still properly compensating them) because of my trucking company and my ability to travel with bulk weights as well as paid freight. But like I said, I'm learning, I want to get more into escrap and know what I'm dealing with better. And like to help people out with any copper or brass questions as well as paper and plastic which I don't think is a heavy topic on this site

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

    Greetings from Wyoming!

If you go into E-Scrap, look at More than scrap value. If you can sell RAM for $15/pound, or for $5 per stick in some cases, that's always a winner. That applies to everything else as well- scrap should be the lowest value on something. When that time comes, feel free to ask us questions. We're always glad to help!

    Welcome to family!

Matador, thank you, I had a guy I used to deal with and he paid what I thought was good because I thought I had "trash" because I was a metal scrapper and that wasn't metal. But I've been all over the "more than scrap metal" section and have already talked to 5 or 6 new people that are super knowledgable and nice and long story short, I'm glad I found this forum
