    introduction

Hi. I'm a part time scrapper. I've been scrapping for about 4 years now. I prefer to call myself a recycler/refubisher when people ask what I do/ am doing, as scrappers sometimes get a bad rep. I am based in Southern Maine. I do many things for income. I work 40 hours in a warehouse, I do landscaping for a few businesses, I buy and sell anything I can make a profit on, i.e. antiques to antiques to antique shops, Furniture to furniture to furniture shops, auto parts to car mechanic shops. I sell camp firewood to the tourist in front of a convenient store.

America is a throw away society and I'm often amazed at what people throw away. They throw it away, I pick it up, fix it and sell.

I use pine for the campfire wood. I live in the Pine Tree State, so it's everywhere and its free for me. Plus it's being burned outside so nobody seems to mind that it's not hardwood.

    introduction

pine is also easier for city people to light and keep burning.
Currently looking for a job in or related to scrap/recycling. Relocation is possible for the right offer.

    Welcome from New Hampshire
Doing a little bit of everything myself, It's truly amazing what people will toss out.
half the time you don't even have to fix anything.

yup, we mix a little pine in with winter wood but almost all of it goes to campfire wood or boards if there needed.
    splitter or axe?

@ScrapperT- You'd be amazed how many people sell small bundles of firewood down here....

Tearing stuff apart may be fun, but I love giving something a second life.

    Wood....in Wyoming?

I thought it would be as flat as a postage stamp and nothin' but grass from border to border. Keep warm in winter by burning knotted tufts of grass and cow chips. The nearest sawmill 1000 miles away....

Maybe a little brush here and there that the 'coons can hide under.

    ???

You're thinking of Southern Wyoming. That pretty much is flat and nothing but grass.

    But, Northwestern Wyoming....

    That's another story!
