I live in San Antonio and I ship my stuff all the way to Ohio to get good pricing. Check the "scrap buyers and sellers" section, tab near top of page, as I seem to remember there being at least two paid buyers in DFW. I have never sold to any up there though...

I'm with Red check with the buyers here on the forum. Read the reviews and be certain that the buyer is currently active on the forum.

I started shipping to them soon after I joined this forum. In the beginning I shipped 50-60lb Fede boxes to shipping multiple pallets. Start a little slow and do the research here. Mike

I tried to be of service a day or so ago and was warned for whatever reason. Now I am a little scared to post anything really.

Boardsort are ok on pricing but there are better out there. i don't know how to give you any more info without getting another warning. You don't need to go all the way to ohio to get competitive pricing either. There is a place in Dallas that can help out.

Perhaps you should become a paid member and start a buyers thread. No doubt there are folks in your area who would like to deal locally. I suggest you take the time to read over some of the rules of the forum and read over some of the buyers threads here on the forum. This will give you a better understanding of the forum and how it operates. I'm not certain how or from whom you got your warning but my suggestions may be of assistance to you. Stay around for a while and get to know the place. Mike

DEAR LORD....the buyers here are MUCH MUCH better than boardsort.

Take some time and check the buyers section....I deal with 2 in particular in there. Shipping is what it is, but can be like .40/lb down to .10 if you can ship gaylords. I don't know your quantities, but these guys beat board sort like a red headed stepchild.

Did you actually look at a few of the buyer's pricing posted on here? There are some really good prices, usually worth the 50 cents per pound it takes to ship several items up there...

Boardsort is a reputable company, but they choose not to participate in this forum. I don't know of any buyers here that are willing to pre-pay by PayPal before the material is even shipped.

The trick is to find a local buyer, Cash for Computer Scrap and Board Sort are both in Ohio. I send my stuff to Cash for Computer Scrap, as no local buyers here. Pay the shipping and prices are still better than local buyers! Also support members here when you can, its like a family

@OP. I had good results with HLH&R in Waxahatchie a couple years ago when I first got into this. I switched to FMI in Oak Cliff because they're closer. You will need a business name they can write the check to, though (FMI, that is, not HLH&R).

I tried to get ahold of HLH&R through their website a couple weeks ago & never heard back, though. Might want to call them before you just show up. There's a fellow named Hugh Taylor, if memory serves... he's the guy you wanna talk to.

Of course... at that time, gold prices were way higher. IMO, the best bet going right now on high value stuff like scrap CPUs & scrap RAM is to flatrate USPS them to ewasted. Mobos & such I'm hoarding for a gold rebound. Resale CPUs & RAM I flatrate to PartTimeScrapper. YMMV
