    Hello from a potential scrapper

Hello everyone. My name is Thomas and I am considering scrapping. I have absolutely zero experience in scrapping, but it is something that I am seriously interested in. I'm just looking for some tips, do's and don'ts. ALSO, I'm only 16, so am I too young? Should I advertise? Are there any permits or anything like that I need to start off with? I've been reading a lot on the forum and watching YouTube scrappers for a few months, so I know the basics I guess. Thanks!

    Welcome to the forum Thomas.
Just about anybody can scrap and being 16 is even better as a licence is most likely a consideration for you. Many start by collecting scrap from family, friends, and neighbors to get a feel for it.
Keep on reading here the sticky's are full of great information. The search function will help with many common items even breakdowns with pictures.
as far as a permit maybe someone in your area will chime in, but I would start with town hall or their website for that question.
There ain't nothing wrong with an honest days work. Anyone who says otherwise is a fool.- Old Man

Welcome to SMF from the Dakota's. You are not to young, but your age provides a few challenges. Keep reading on this site and you will be an expert in no time. Given your location, you have a lot of retired citizens wanting to reduce the clutter. This forum can help you make a lot of money in your situation. Good luck and keep us posted. We love pictures.
