New to scrap metal

Hello my name is Keith I am 36 yrs old I am looking for a way to support my growing family as I am the sole provider for a family of 4 soon to be 5. I have always had the euntrapenural spirit but my wife not so much. We struggle daily just to make ends meet. I do have 2001 Dodge Caravan and took my first very small load of scrap to the scrap yard and made $25. I want to make $100 a week if not more. I have a lot to learn about this business and I am hear to learn. I also want to learn how to stop my wife from thinking what I am doing is stupid and a waste of time lol. Sorry for the lack of punctuation lol

Keith welcome to SMF. First the fact that you were looking for answers, demonstrates your not stupid. I never put the money first, the goal of supporting your family is the priority and that will required using your resources as best you can. Work out what works best for your needs, get your "scrapping process" down and the money will come in time.

As far as the wife, I can tell you the only answer "show her the money", but it takes time. Do your best, take care of your family and you both will see it's not stupid.
