Thumbs down my introductions are terrible

    Hello all

My name is David and I am a new e-waste scrapper although I suppose I have a very strong familiarity with the material since I've been working at a PCB manufacturing company for a number of years in addition to being a lover of gold. I've joined this community today because I have found myself the sudden but proud new owner of almost 20 years of accumulated electronic materials as a result of our company moving to a new location. I managed the convince the owner to relinquish ownership of the surplus to me as opposed to having it hauled away at his expense. I am nearly finished processing and cataloging all the material and am now looking sell it to someone who is good at what he does and can maximize the resources from recovery in addition to minimizing any waste byproducts. Of course the financial benefit to me is also a plus. To be honest I came across this board earlier but was intimidated by all you veteran scrappers but after struggling to figure out how to deal with insane shipping costs and fees, working with you guys doesn't seem so complicated anymore. That's all I have to say about me. I look forward to communicating with you. Oh yea, I live in the very dry city of San Jose in California but originally came from Maryland. That's all

Welcome from Maryland. You've got a good start. Check out buyers threads. Read stickies and old threads in the archives. Don't sell till you are confident you know what you have. With that amount, you should be able to ship at a lower rate. Do the research, you'll be glad you did.

Thanks for the welcome and the good advice. I'm in no rush to sell and intend to take my time with this hobby. I'm just pumped to be here and have a good head start.
