I'm curious if anyone knows if I can take a Golden Tee arcade to an iron and metal scrapyard?

why would you do that if it is in decent condition? all stand up video games generally have a more than scrap value...even the cabinet. There are a variety of mechanisms that probably still work as well. Do some online research for local video game dealers and Ebay of course.
Don't just tear it apart before you even check out those sources.
PROFIT is made when you BUY/ACQUIRE NOT when you sell
If it works at the very LEAST pull the main and sound boards, coin changer, and graphics and put them on Ebay...
~You have to start somewhere to get anywhere~
Do a search on ebay and make certain you check the sold items.
Read more on the forum. Re-selling is the best return almost always. Mike

Now go beat the copper out of something, Miked
you also need to look at the removable graphics (like the light up plastic at the top)...HELL THE ENTIRE cabinet in decent condition will be worth a fair amount. Then you have ALL the parts.
if this machine is working or an easy fix, it can be worth several hundred dollars at a minimum (Golden Tee is popular)
The reason I asked if I could take it to an iron and metal scrapyard is because someone gave it to me and it doesn't work I don't know the first thing about it to try and fix it. Looks like its in excellent condition but where I am is pretty small town and I don't even know who I would call to try and sell it? Thanks for all/any input everyone has it's truly appreciated!
go to places that have arcade games
find the sticker that says who owns them
call that number
