Question 400 small block & 400 turbo transmission

Hi everyone, i'm new to this forum.
Can anyone tell me what at 400 small block & 400 turbo transmission is worth?
They are on stands. Should I scrap or try to sell?
If I try to sell what are they worth separately?

    Thanks for your help. DAD

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

If they work, the Turbo 400 transmission is pretty common.

400s have a bit of a cult following, but they're not nearly as common as the 350.

Do you know the condition? Even if they don't work, you should be able to get more than scrap value selling them as rebuildable cores, but if you have a complete working assembly, you could be looking at a few hundred dollars....

TH400's were a nice tranny in their day, but most guys with hot rods have upgraded to 700R4's or 4l60's to get overdrive. not much call for old 3spd auto's any more. I would say if working, $50-$75. Even a lot of trans shops won't know how to rebuild it these days...

Same with motor, most guys who haven't moved on to LS motor's will want to build a 383, and use what parts they can off the 400. so if it runs, maybe $200 for that, if not, list it on CL and see what you get...
