    Hi Everyone

Hi everyone, fairly new to scrapping, been doing it about a year or so. I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions, some may even make sense. lol I'll be reading a lot of old posts for as much information as I can so that I can keep the questions to a minimum. Other than scrapping, I have been metal detecting for around 45 years, play guitar, work with Archaeologists finding metal objects for them, collect bottles, stamps, coins, manufacture wind chimes and drummer's chimes, I used to make professional drums (Noble and Cooley), and have a small janitorial company. Hope to be able to add anything I learn to the forum.

Rock on man...Nobel and Cooley drums...I have played in various bands for 20 years. That is a VERY cool thing for your resume!

Good luck, read and you will gain a WEALTH of knowledge here.

Thanks. Learning how to make drums was fun, but it would have been more fun if it was making guitars lol

Lots of musicians here. That's good. I'm fair at playing, but You tube has helped me a lot. Now I can play the songs I like correctly! The wind chimes are in a redesign phase right now. They are the standard looking chimes in Mahogany or Ash. I sell directly to businesses and other outlets, but not to stores since having a store as a middle man cuts your profit by 50%. I was just listening to a little Rush and Jethro Tull. Two great drummers in the rock arena. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone

Welcome from Southern Cal. I think you will "fit-in" here at SMF, this a diverse network of scrap metal, e-waste, recycling and re-purposing entrepreneurs all contributing to one of the best forums and resources on the "net" (IMOP). Reading your intro. tells me that you are a multi-faceted individual, as are many of us here at SMF and that is the best asset of this forum. Anyone listing to Jethro Tull, makes wind chimes, collects bottles and coins, into scraping and runs a business, will be able to positively contribute to this forum.
