Most likely you will have to pay a fair price to have someone make it go away as even good condition chain link is about as popular as CRT's are.

I have rolls of the stuff that is in good condition, but it is to short in height for those interested in chain link for animal pen panels.

The scrap yards don't want it as it creates constipation in some machines.

I myself don't usually post on "newbie threads", but I find the topic of chain link fence interesting as I know it well.

Chain link fence is much like CRT's are, It is popular when new for the "quick fix", but it's value in reality is much like used toilet paper.

You need to be stranded on a deserted island and need something to write on to find value in it.......

does my unique writing style have some at a reserve or stand off?

I'm just being me, and me is a most interesting creature, if you can handle the honest reality of the mix.

I'm a bit like hard liquor,

Best taken in with great moderation if you don't want to blow a fuse or trip over your wit.....

Around here used chain link fence is in demand. Its a lot cheaper than new fence. I listed some for sale on the inter webs and lots of people responded. This was in the spring time. Try listing on the world wide web.

The value of your chain link fence, especially in its current condition for scrap, would depend on local scrap metal prices and the willingness of someone to pick it up. Contact local scrap yards to inquire about current rates for steel scrap and consider listing it on local classifieds or social media with details about its dimensions and condition.

Some scrap yard accepts as shred, some others accept at a lower price and some don't even think about it. Cross your fingers that you're near a scrap yard that will take it. Otherwise, try Craigslist or Marketplace as mentioned above.

By the way, I hope that your fence is clean of debris and non-plasticized too.
NEW TO SCRAPPING? READ THIS: Build up your horde of magnetic and non-magnetic metals in two piles until you have a better understanding of the business. Magnetic material has low value and is mostly always steel / shred / short iron. Read old threads about non-magnetic metals and ewaste (and how to sort them), but don't forget that they generally have absolutely no tolerance for contamination (screw / iron / foreign material).
