New to scrapping

Hello all my name is Derrick. I was in the Air Force for a little over 5 years and now I work at a local hospital in Ohio. While working I realized that they have been piling up E-waste. I talked to my boss about scrapping the waste and he said it was all mine. There is laptops, computers, hard drives, monitors tons of wires and cables, batteries, printers, scanners, copier, fax machines and telephone's and cords. I am looking for advice on what to do with it all. Thanks in advance for your help

Welcome to the forum. First thing is to see what works. With scrap prices so low, you will do way better selling the working stuff for reuse rather than scrapping it. Even if it is $20 for a laptop, that is better than the scrap price. The next thing you do is read the archives here. Chances are someone has broken down everything that you have and there is a thread on it. They will tell you how to break it down to be the most profitable. This forum is a great resource if you are willing to put it the time to learn. Good luck and please keep us posted. We all love to hear about other members hauls. Welcome to the forum, Derrick. Looks like you're off to a good start. There's a great E-waste buyer in Ohio (IMO) and we're lucky enough to have him right here on our forum.
Also, seek out our "better than scrap" buyers and you should be addicted in no time.
